For instance, with the first ECU hooked up, run the car a few times on the dyno to get it heat soaked, and let it sit a specified amount of time, such as exactly 10 minutes. After that, begin the test- conduct 3 runs with that ECU and record the results, then let it sit the specified amount of time. Hook up the next ECU and run it 3 times, and let it sit again. Then the next ECU. That way you don't have one run having an advantage due to the car being cooler, and since you run it 3 times each you can come up with a more reliable average.
